Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is een Amerikaanse fantasy/avonturenfilm uit 2003, geregisseerd door Gore Verbinski en geproduceerd en uitgebracht door Walt Disney Pictures. De film speelt zich af in de Caraïben tussen 1730 en 1750. Hoofdrollen worden vertolkt door Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, Geoffrey Rush en Jack Davenport. De film is gebaseerd op de attractie Pirates of the Caribbean in de Disneyparken.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is a 2003 American fantasy swashbuckler film based on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney theme parks. It was directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The story follows pirate Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and blacksmith Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) as they rescue the kidnapped Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) from the cursed crew of the Black Pearl, captained by Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), who become undead skeletons at night.

Premier volet de la franchise Pirates des Caraïbes, il est suivi par Le Secret du coffre maudit (2006), Jusqu'au bout du monde (2007) et La Fontaine de Jouvence (2011).
